I define my artistic position as a mystical confrontation with reality, interpreting the human and nature in portraits and other compositions. The main theme I explore in my work is separation within ourselves, and consequent separation from the world; our hidden fears, frustrations, and distrust—which I choose to perceive not as punishment but as trinkets hidden across our lives, peeking in and revealing themselves as keys and rewards, forming a field of exploration.

In my work I confront life's challenges with joy, sincerity, and, most importantly, faith that we can cope with anything and overcome any obstacle. My art is a spark of hope and inspiration. I want my work to elicit in the heart of the spectator a flash of joy and a feeling of strength: I can; I will cope.

My art is a message from the future that you and I are creating now. It is a message for all who live in a world that seems unfair or even dangerous. As a civilization, we have made incredible advances: in technology, in prolonging life, in expanding knowledge of ourselves and of the world around us. And how we use all these gifts is up to us. Not everyone will be taken into the future; it is up to you and me to build it.

My paintings carry the light and power of the forward motion around which my whole being is centered. They transmit trust in the world and encourage openness to what is happening in it. They are talismans that give a touch of hope. Each one has a charge that will fill those who touch it.
